Antica Tintoria was founded in 2010 by Matteo Cateni, originally from Livorno and trained in London. A specialist in blonde hair, color, and cutting, he now leads the salon and works as a Master Color Trainer for Oway.

FROM RENAISSANCE DYE HOUSE TO CONTEMPORARY SALON

The salon still preserves traces of its origins as an artisanal dye house. From the Renaissance until the 1950s, fabrics for garments were dyed here. Today, the same space continues to be dedicated to color, reinterpreted through a contemporary approach to hair care and creativity.

PHILOSOPHY

We use Oway products, known for their high performance on both scalp and hair, formulated with biodynamic, organic, and ethically sourced ingredients. Rich in active elements and locally sourced natural oils, these products are also available in the salon for daily use. Every hair type has its own identity, which is why every experience at Antica Tintoria begins with a personalized consultation—balancing style, practicality, and individual needs.
